The TM-6D is a high performance, rapid sampling magnetometer designed for high quality Total Magnetic Intensity (TMI) data acquisition. The high sample rate also makes it ideal for acquiring TMI from EM platforms as samples can be extracted from the Transmitter OFF times.
The TM-6D is based on Gap's generic TM-6 magnetometer counter technology. Coupled with a Cs vapour magnetometer sensor such as the Scintrex CS-3 or Geometrics G-822A and an internal GPS, the magnetometer is capable of acquiring precisely timed, high quality Total Magnetic Intensity (TMI) data at a rate of 1200 samples per second. The TM-6D is designed to be used in situations where minimal control and autonomous operation are required such as in airborne or marine surveys.
