IPTX-2500

Description

The IPTX-2500 is a medium-current, high voltage portable transmitter (Tx) system designed primarily for galvanic mode surveys such as Induced Polarisation (IP), Magnetometric Resistivity (MMR) and Sub-Audio Magnetics (SAM). The maximum output power is 100kW. It is capable of time-domain or frequency-domain output waveforms.

Application

The IPTX-2500 is designed to produce high quality, precisely timed signals delivering up to 50A and/or 2500V into a loop or dipoles. Waveform control and a 1PPS GPS timing reference is internal to the transmitter, with many modes available. External controllers such as the GeoPak TXC-1 can also be used.

The IPTX-2500 was developed by Gap GeoPak Pty Ltd (GeoPak) to meet the demand for medium current high voltage output with greater portability and safety.  The main purpose of the system is to provide a better quality primary signal and consequently allow for high resolution surveys.  However, core to its design is provision for safe operation while maximizing efficiency of deployment.
